Desert Engagement

From the moment that Alison contacted me, she was very specific about wanting only a desert landscape for her Engagement Session. She is originally from Florida so she was used to green lush landscape, Palm trees and lots of water. One of the things that she mentioned was how her and her Fiancee Elijah have never taken professional photos together. I was honored to be the first photographer to capture their love and I am sure that I will not be the last.

The Session

I love to prep my clients as much as I can prior to the session. I go over everything from wardrobe selections and expectations. I also send them a checklist that goes over what to bring to be comfortable and relaxed during their session.

Elijah hasn't really been in front of the camera so Alison warned me that he might be camera shy. He was actually such a great sport and we had fun during our session. He followed all of the prompts to the t.

Papago park was the location of choice. It has such a diverse back drop but given that she only wanted desert landscape we opted to take the Hole in the wall Trail as the backdrop for their session. This trail allows beautiful views of the Hole in the Wall Rock. We did most of the session on this trail. Below you will see several images from their session.
